Dr. Amr is a member of International Society of Cardiovascular Surgery (ISCVS) and Royal College of Surgeons, Ireland (RCSI). Currently, he is a Senior Consultant of Vascular Surgery at Hamad General Hospital in Doha, Qatar since August 2004 till present. He led the setting-up of Vascular Surgery Unit in the country and he is also an Assistant Professor of Surgery at Weil Cornell Medicine-Qatar (WCMC-Q).
He has worked as a Clinical Fellow in Radiology Department, Leicester Royal Infirmary, Leicester University, UK from June to August 2002. During this period he worked with Dr. Amman Bolia, the inventor of subintimal angioplasty in the world. He has given the chance to learn and perform many interventional radiology techniques.
He worked as a Senior Clinical Fellow in the Royal Free Hospital, London from June 2001 till July 2002. It is the main teaching hospital of the University College London (UCL).
Dr. Amr involved in several research projects which have been published in several international journals in the areas of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery.
